Websters (and obviously you as well) only look at what we today know as a ‘computer.’ If we think back far enough we get what led to the word computer, i.e. device that could perform calculations, i.e. compute(r). (See ‘Bletchley Park’ on Wiki’) Storage only came later.
Any devise that can therefore perform calculations, even from 2000 years ago, can righlty be called a computer
